Under the patronage of the Director General of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in Taiz Governorate, and in the presence of the Director General of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Office and the Dean of Al-Hosab Technical Industrial Institute, vocational training programs were launched for 80 trainees under the project *“Provision of Market-Relevant Livelihoods Training and Economic Recovery through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)”*, funded by the Government of Japan through the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and implemented by the Horizon Foundation for Development.

The program aims to equip participants with practical skills in the following specializations:
▪️ Fashion Design
▪️ Pastry and Bakery Production
▪️ Mobile Phone Maintenance

This intervention is part of ongoing efforts to empower young men and women with market-relevant vocational skills, enhance their access to sustainable income opportunities, and improve livelihoods for beneficiaries and their families.

The project also promotes social cohesion and peaceful coexistence by providing equal opportunities for youth from diverse social backgrounds and strengthening their economic resilience. By reducing vulnerability and social exclusion, the project contributes to building more stable communities and encouraging positive participation in development and peacebuilding efforts.
